    What are server SQL modes?

    Basically, it allows MySQL server to work in various SQL modes, means that you can apply these modes in an altered way for different clients. Overall, this enables each application to adapt the server’s operating mode to its own need.

          The different SQL modes are as follows -
          High-Performance Mode.
          High Safety Mode.
          High safety with automatic failover.

              Hello Van,

              The High-performance mode can be useful in a disaster-recovery scenario in which the principal and mirror servers are separated by a significant distance and where you do not want small errors to impact the principal server..

                  Sorry for delay..

                  Here are the uses of other 2 modes we have on our SQL servers:
                  1) High Safety Mode:
                  The High-safety mode protects your data by requiring the data to be synchronized between two places. All the committed transactions are guaranteed to be written to disk on the mirror server.

                  2) High Safety Mode with Automatic Fail-over:
                  The High Safety Mode with Automatic fail-over provides high availability by ensuring that the database is still served after the loss of one server. Automatic fail-over requires that the session possess a third server instance, the witness, which ideally resides on a third computer. The following figure shows the configuration of a high-safety mode session that supports automatic failover.
